Viewpoint flats, Weymouth
Investigations revealed water ingress through poorly jointed frames. Testing and examination also showed evidence of incorrect use of materials with little or no preservation. There were rotting timbers, handrails and balustrades to the top floor flats across the development.
SCS employed Trada to conduct a full materials analysis and recommendations. All works were undertaken whilst the properties remain occupied.
Works involved supply and carefully retro fit stainless steel brackets and connections. Each elements were removed individually to reduce the amount of temporary support required. Our joiners then replaced the defective materials with heartwood which had been specified.
The scheme was completed within a tight works programme and budget constraints.
Quality is driven throughout the company by senior management through to site tradespersons. We are regularly inspected and audited by trade organisations and meet health and safety standards in accordance to the standards and specifications set by our industry’s governing bodies.
