Hinton Road Multi-storey car park
Southern Concrete Services were appointed by SWH Build as a specialist sub contractor to undertake major structural repair works at Hinton Road Multi-story Car park.
As a busy car park in central Bournemouth, with some areas occupied by a car rental company and other areas by the adjacent hotel, the existing structure had suffered from weathering and lack of maintenance.
The works involved dismantling large sections of the facades, replacing steel work and encasing in micro-concrete. Many defects required specialist propping prior to commencement.
During the works, Southern Construction Solutions carried out concrete repairs using MonoTop 610, 615 and 620, Sikagard 675 was applied to all concrete surfaces. A high spec 4 coat system was used on all steel surfaces. The masonry was installed to meet current standards.
The works were undertaken whilst the car park remained fully operational.
